We've got your back with private beach access and a sweet gazebo for yoga or hanging out. Plus, there are plenty of spots to kick back and relax, whether you're dining outdoors or chilling by the pool.
Our place is all about bringing people together, whether it's for a zen yoga retreat, a laid-back family trip, fun time with friends, or celebrating life's big moments like weddings or birthdays. On the ground floor of the Villa, you'll find four Bohemian-style rooms, each with its own private bathroom. The arrangement of the rooms can be adapted to your preference, offering the choice of two double rooms and two triple rooms. Located in an environment that opens towards the pool, these rooms also enjoy stunning ocean views. The villa features an outdoor kitchen by the pool, fully equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, utensils and crockeries.
The apartment is located in the second floor. It has two bedrooms and an open-design living room and kitchen, opening up to a sea view through large windows and a private balcony.

The whole Villa can accommodate up to 14 people.

Villa Barona is the ultimate destination for family getaways, hanging out with friends, or hosting social events. Our newly inaugurated property has been meticulously designed to cater to large groups, making it the perfect spot for yoga retreats, unforgettable surfing experiences, and milestone celebrations like weddings and birthdays.

You have two options to choose from. Rent the entire first floor, which includes four rooms accommodating up to 10 people, or go all out and book the entire villa. Opting for the full villa gives you access to the four rooms on the first floor along with the two-bedroom apartment on the second floor, allowing for a total accommodation of up to 14 people.
Work & Stay
If you're seeking the ideal remote work setup with a beachfront backdrop, look no further than Villa Barona. Our comfortable rooms are equipped with all you need for productive days, including A/C, a work desk, private bathroom, hot water, and a private balcony with a small table. Plus, you'll enjoy seamless connectivity with high-speed WiFi.

But it's not just about work; we understand the importance of balance. That's why we provide access to a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and various work or chill zones, such as our outdoor living room by the pool, our spacious family table, or our open air yoga shala with hammocks, perfect for afternoon naps. And when it's time to unwind, the beach is right at your doorstep, offering easy access to surf breaks and the perfect fusion of work and leisure.
Surf
Beach break & Point break
There's a consistent beach break right in front of the Villa that works well with small to medium swells. This beach break extends for several kilometers until what we call La Punta. La Punta is a playful right point break with a rocky bottom, located a 15-minute walk away from the Villa.

Types of Spots: Beach break + Right point break.
Average Wave Size: 2-5ft
Level: Suitable for all levels. Beginners will most likely prefer the beach break, while intermediates and experts will enjoy both.

Best Tide: Beginners should aim for mid to high tide for a mellow, slower wave. Intermediate and experts can enjoy all tides. Low tide offers a fast and hollow wave, sometimes barrel if the conditions (offshore winds and direction) are good. Low tide works better at the point. High tide provides a fatter and slower wave and works for both the beachbreak & La Punta.

Water Temperature: 24 to 29°C - no wetsuit needed ;)
Montañita, Ecuador
Villa Barona is located in the southern part of Montañita in the peaceful residential area of Barrio Galápagos, just a 10-minute walk from the "heart" of Montañita, where you can find restaurants, bars, pharmacies, ATMs, and grocery stores.
You can go walking 15-min to the main surfing spot La Punta. There are several taxi companies that can pick you up at the door of the property and bring you back.

Montañita is a lay back but dynamic surf town located on the pacific coast of Ecuador, 2.5 hours North of Guayaquil airport. This village was originally known as a hippie beach destination and throughout the years grew in reputation as a vibrant surfing hotspot.
